Were you aware that April is Cesarean Awareness Month? You can learn about this important event here: http://www.ican-online.org/
The International Cesarean Awareness Network, Inc., has selected “First, Do No Harm” as the April 2004 theme for Cesarean Awareness Month. This theme expresses the sentiment of the Hippocratic Oath, taken by many physicians upon graduation from medical school. It also expresses the wishes of pregnant women as they prepare to give birth in a culture that leads more than one in four women in the U.S. and Canada into the operating room for a surgical delivery.I can't tell you the numbers of women I know, all over Canada and the U.S., who have avoided cesarean by the work of the many dedicated chiropractors who are trained by the ICPA. Much of it has been through the use of the Webster technique. Chiropractors are beginning to know that this technique is valuable in removing constraint not only for those babies who are presenting breech, but for the many who are in all other kinds of unfavourable positions.
Thank you for the good work you do, thank you for the chiropractors you train, and thank you for sharing.
