Family Care “Down Under”

The ICPA just returned from “down under” celebrating chiropractic philosophy, science and art with the Australian Spinal Research Foundation (ASRF). Over 850 attendees gathered and shared chiropractic philosophy and at the same time, supported chiropractic research.

The Australian Spinal Research Foundation has been in existence for 30 years and has raised One Million dollars towards chiropractic research. Its membership values the need for research in chiropractic and emphasizes the importance of chiropractic philosophy for the advancement of the chiropractic profession.

The theme of the weekend was “Kids and Chiropractic” and the Australian and New Zealand doctors made it quite clear that family chiropractic care is the preferred mode of practice in their neck of the world.

The ICPA was enthusiastically welcomed by ASRF attendees. There was a real sense of fellowship between the ASRF and the ICPA. It was clear that attendees resonated with our like minded respect for family chiropractic, and even more importantly, the ASRF like the ICPA places equally important emphasis on all three aspects of chiropractic: philosophy, science and art.

Many doctors took the time out to come thank us for our informative public website: www.icpa4kids.org telling us they send parents there all the time for resources on chiropractic and health. One doctor came up to the booth and looking me right in the eye said, “I just got on your website last night and you are the real deal. Sign me up for membership”

Throughout the weekend many doctors encouraged us to come to Australia and New Zealand with our Certification/ Diplomate programs. Because of these numerous requests and the overwhelming sense of fellowship, the ICPA is pleased to announce it will be coming to both countries in early 2007.
