ICPA 180 Hour Certification Program (C.A.C.C.P.)
Part One of the ICPA Diplomate
Achieving Certification Status
With the 180 Hour Certification Program (C.A.C.C.P.), the ICPA has raised the bar for chiropractic academic standards. Attendees of the 180-hour program will experience the renowned, hands-on ICPA certification curriculum.
The C.A.C.C.P. is also the initial 180-hour prerequisite to go on to Diplomate status. All doctors who have any interest in going onto Diplomate status must complete the C.A.C.C.P. to pursue this option.
If you have the ICPA previous 120-hour certification (F.I.C.P.A.) and wish to grandfather in to the C.A.C.C.P., please read the grandfathering clause.
The C.A.C.C.P. consists of 168 classroom hours, participation in one ICPA Practiced Based Research Network (PBRN) study (12 hours), and finally a comprehensive take home exam. Classroom hours are on-site. Doctors who initiate the classes for C.A.C.C.P. are also eligible to begin the remaining requirements for the Diplomate concurrently.
After successfully passing your comprehensive take home exam, you will receive your certification from the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice and the Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics (C.A.C.C.P.). To read about the Academy please read here: Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice
