Clinical Electives for Annual Credit.

The purpose of the Diplomate annual 12 hour requirement is to refresh and expand the Diplomate Candidate's clinical skills into specific areas of care for children and pregnant women. Some candidates may want to pursue cranial work, or other techniques, some candidates may be interested in enhancing their neurological integration skills, their knowledge of sports injuries, scoliosis, nutrition, etc.

In considering these needs for additional course work, the ICPA is in collaboration with numerous organizations who offer varied modes of care for children and pregnant women. Each hour attended counts towards one credit towards the Annual Requirement of 12 credits.

Additionally, the ICPA recognizes that much of its 180 hour course work offers such depth, and that Candidates may want to retake some of these classes as well. Therefore, all ICPA current and upcoming 180 hour classes are applicable as Annual Requirements for Diplomate Candidates even if they are re-taking a class as a refresher. Refresher classes will offer the candidate 12 credit hours towards the Annual Requirements.
