ICPA Diplomate Program


Requirements
  • Research Case Study Report Writing Course: 48 Credit Hours - This course applies towards Part Two of the ICPA's Diplomate Program and accounts for 48 hours of the required 180 hours. The course content is broken up into 5 Modules totaling 12 hours of instruction. The remainder of the hours are completed by actually writing your case study and are awarded upon completion of it. This course offers the Diplomate candidate the step by step instructions to write a case study. 12 credit hours of online education and 36 hours practical spent researching, writing and revising your case study research report.   • Research Case Study Preparation and Publication Forum: 48 Credit Hours - Case Study Clinical Online Forum Registration, participation and collaboration with ICPA Research Department for completion and publication of paper. The Diplomate candidate will also prepare a poster presentation of the Case Study Abstract for the ICPA Freedom For Family Wellness Summit. Read more here.
  • Practice-Based Research Network participation (PBRN): 48 Credit Hours for two projects - Registration, participation and completion of two in-office PBRN data collection projects. Read more here.
  • Clinical Rounds: 24 Credit Hours - The course work provides the doctor with the critical evaluation of the existing cases of colleagues presented on the ICPA Clinical Forum. The doctor will be required to submit a quota of cases to the forum and also critically review and answer colleagues' questions on their current cases. Read more here.
  • Pathways Article: 12 Credit Hours - Completion of a well-referenced, feature article for Pathways to Family Wellness magazine. For requirements read more here.

  • CPR/First Aid Certification: 0 Credit Hours - Proof of certification for Pediatric CPR and First Aid. This certification can be obtained by your local Red Cross or by the American Heart Association. Copies need to be sent to the ICPA to obtain Diplomate credit.   • Case Study Poster Presentation: 0 Credit Hours - As part of your Diplomate requirement, you will be creating a poster with your research abstract to display at the ICPA's Summit. This will be the final preparation to submit for your Research portion of your Diplomate Case Study Requirement. You can find the poster presentation directions here.
